Our Goals/Hopes and Dreams as Parents

We thought we would share with you some of our goals, and hopes and dreams as future parents. We both feel very blessed to be a part of very strong, loving, supportive families and hope that we can impart that in our future family as well. We feel that it's very important to be close to our children and to have a certain trust and openness between us.

We hope to be able to loving teach our children right from wrong, but we do realize that each child has his/her own personality and that they have their free agency to make their own choices and mistakes. We feel very strongly that it is important that our children know and feel that when they make mistakes, they can still always count on us to be there for them to support them and help them get through the difficult times no matter what. We certainly are not perfect, and have made plenty of mistakes ourselves. We continue to learn and grow everyday, so we hope to be able to allow our children to do the same.

We feel that it's important for our children to be able to participate in and be a part of whatever fun extracurricular activities they develop interests and talents in, such as sports, music, etc. We hope that our children will grow up well-rounded and be able to have lots of positive experiences and interaction with others.

We also believe that 'all men are created equal' and that we should treat each other with the same love and respect that we would want to be treated with. We love to travel and explore other lands and nations, and we hope to be able to continue to do so with our children and instill in them a love and respect for all people, regardless of race, color of skin, background, etc. If we are blessed to be placed with children of other nationalities, we feel that's important to embrace that nationality and to teach our children about where they came from and about their heritage.

Education is important and we look forwarding to helping our children grow and learn through a good education. Someday, we hope to be able to send our children to college.

We greatly look forward to the opportunity to bond, grow, and learn with our children! We are excited to help our children face the challenges of life and hope that we can teach them to be good, well-rounded, law-abiding citizens who love life and embrace it! We look forward to showing our children how much we love them through hugs and kisses, good talks, fun times, laughs and giggles, and even in the tears and heartaches that we are sure to face along the way sometimes, too. We pray everyday that we will be loving, kind, and patient parents...........the kind that our Heavenly Father and our own parents would be proud of.
